Thermal Resistance
Sep 28, 2018

Thermal resistance refers to the ratio of the difference in temperature between the two ends of the object to the power of the heat source when heat is transferred on the object. The unit is Kelvin watt (K/W) or centigrade per watt (℃/W).

When the heat flows through the interface of two contacting solids, the interface itself presents a significant thermal resistance to the heat flow, which is called contact thermal resistance.
