Diode characteristics
Feb 01, 2018

Diodes, electronic components, a device with two electrodes that allows current to flow in only one direction. Many uses are its rectification function. The Varicap Diode is used as an electronic adjustable capacitor.

Most of the diodes have the current direction we usually call "Rectifying (Rectifying)" function. The most common function of a diode is to allow only current to pass through in a single direction (referred to as forward bias) and reverse in reverse (referred to as reverse bias). Therefore, the diode can be thought of as an electronic check valve. In reality, however, diodes do not exhibit such perfect turn-on and turn-off directions, but more complex non-linear electronic features - which are dictated by the particular type of diode technology. In addition to the use of the diode as a switch, there are many other features.
