Diode
Feb 01, 2018

Diode, also known as the crystal diode, referred to as the diode (diode), in addition, there are early vacuum electronic diode; it is a one-way conduction current of electronic devices. In the semiconductor diode has a PN junction two lead terminals, this electronic device in accordance with the direction of the applied voltage, with one-way current transmissibility. In general, a crystal diode is a p-n junction formed by sintering p-type and n-type semiconductors. Space charge layers are formed on both sides of its interface to form a self-built electric field. When the applied voltage equals zero, it is the normal diode characteristic due to the difference in concentration of carriers on both sides of the p-n junction resulting in an equalization of the diffusion current and the drift current due to the self-built electric field.
